Ellafi Federal Credit Union Names Robyn Swanson President & CEO
MIDDLETOWN, CT (February 23, 2025) — Ellafi Federal Credit Union, formerly known as Seasons Federal Credit Union, has named longtime executive Robyn Swanson as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Swanson previously served as Senior Vice President and has been with the organization for 27 years.
Following the retirement announcement of former President and CEO Keith Wiemert last fall, the Board of Directors initiated a nationwide executive search. Swanson was selected from a competitive pool of 95 applicants.
“We took our time to identify the strongest leader for Ellafi’s next chapter,” said Jim Misenti, Board Chair. “Robyn was the clear choice. Throughout her tenure, she has consistently helped evolve the credit union with fresh, relevant ideas while bringing thoughtful perspective to every stage of our growth.”
Swanson steps into the role at a pivotal moment for the $175 million-asset credit union, which last year completed a strategic rebrand and has begun construction in Middletown on a new transaction center to support continued expansion.
“I am deeply honored to step into the role of President and CEO of Ellafi Federal Credit Union,” said Swanson. “Having dedicated my career to this organization, I am proud of the work we are doing to empower women and their allies to achieve lasting economic resilience and financial independence and humbled to lead the credit union that has given me the opportunity to make such a meaningful impact as we move into our next chapter.”
A financial services leader for 27 years, Swanson has played a central role in growing the credit union’s assets from $38 million to more than $175 million. She has helped guide the organization through growth initiatives, regulatory shifts, technological modernization, and multiple mergers.
In April 2025, she led the rebrand from Seasons Federal Credit Union to Ellafi Federal Credit Union, positioning the organization as Connecticut’s first credit union with a mission centered on advancing economic resilience and financial independence for women and their allies.
Swanson began her career at the credit union by establishing its marketing department and steadily expanded her leadership responsibilities. As Senior Vice President, she oversaw marketing, information technology, accounting, transactional operations, digital services, and compliance, aligning operational strategy with long-term organizational growth. Having helped shape nearly every major strategic milestone throughout her nearly three decades of service, Swanson brings deep operational knowledge and a forward-looking vision to the role.
In 2025, she was recognized by the Hartford Business Journal as one of its Women in Business honorees and was recently named the 2026 Strong, Smart, and Bold Woman of the Year by Girls Inc. of Meriden and Central Connecticut.
