MIDDLESEX COUNTY HOME SALES INCREASE 33% IN JANUARY; SUPPLY OF INVENTORY DROPS 44%
Homes are selling and selling fast, but the inventory of available housing for sale is two and a half months’ supply creating an extremely tight market. The New Haven Middlesex Association of REALTORS® (NHMR) reports that sales of single-family homes in Middlesex County increased 33.1% in January 2021 compared to January 2020. Total units sold were 165 in January 2021 compared to 124 in January 2020. The median sales price of $310,000 represents a 23.6% increase from $250,750 during that same time period.
