Job Coach (Employment Specialist)

We are seeking a Job Coach (Employment Specialist) to join the Vista team.

 The Job Coach supports and teaches Vista students/members to work in an employment setting successfully and independently.
 
Responsibilities for a Job Coach include:

  • Assisting individuals with disabilities to learn and perform job duties and supporting the individual during their own onboarding process
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for members to reach key goals and milestones in their journey towards independence
  • Supporting the performance evaluation process and providing appropriate on-the-job training
  • Must be flexible and adaptable with schedule and work assignments in order to adjust to students/members vocational needs
  • Knowledge and understanding of individuals with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders
Requirements for a Job Coach include:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of related experience in vocational training and on-the-job support
  • Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record
  • CPR and First Aid or the ability to obtain certifications within 90 days of hire.
Job Type/Shift Information: 2 openings available, Part-Time20 to 25 hours per week.  We are open to discussing your availability for hours, and we want to make a match between your schedule and our needs. Shifts may include a weekend rotation on an occasional basis.

Location: Varies, you will work with our members at employment sites in the surrounding communities.

Hourly Rate:  $20.00, plus eligible mileage reimbursement
 
Benefits and Paid Time-Off are available for eligible employees based on the regular number of hours worked.
