Connecticut Chamber Health Plan
The rising cost of healthcare is begging for an affordable solution in Connecticut. Your Chamber needs your feedback on the development of a new health insurance program exclusively for Chamber members. Those insured by the large, traditional health plans are becoming older and sicker, and the young and healthy see no reason to buy unaffordable health insurance.
The result is an average premium increase of 20.3% nationwide for 2017. Proposed rate increases in Connecticut are as high as 28% for small group plans and 42% for individuals. Rather than simply give in, we need a different approach – a real solution for chamber members.
The good news is we’ve found one. On October 11th, the Middlesex Chamber and Chamber Insurance Trust invite you to learn about the Connecticut Chamber Health Plan. This proposed alternative, offered exclusively to chamber member companies, could lower premiums, provide individuals with access to any provider and simplify plan administration.
We encourage all members and brokers to join the discussion at the 2016 Business to Business Expo – Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Radisson Hotel Cromwell located at 100 Berlin Road, Cromwell. We look forward to seeing you there. You can also visit the Chamber Insurance Trust booth at the Expo from 9:30am to 7:00pm and hear about the proposed affordable healthcare plan.
