Cromwell Creative District selected as a 2025 AARP Community Challenge Grantee!
 
Cromwell Creative District (CCD) is thrilled to announce they have been selected to receive a 2025 AARP Community Challenge grant. CCD is one of only 383 grantees selected (out of 3,450+ applications!) from across all 50 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
 
With this quick-action grant, Valour Green and Pierson Park Rose Garden will become more ADA accessible and beautified with plantings. AARP is a nationwide leader in making communities more livable and CCD is pleased to be working with them on projects that will bring value to Cromwell.
 
CCD, a nonprofit, will be adding significant funding to renovate the Rose Garden and is partnering with the Town to ensure ADA accessibility access to the garden as well as inside the garden. A previous upgrade to the original 1989 garden was made in 2001 for the 150th anniversary of the Town. The current total renovation is just in time for the 175th anniversary in 2026.
