Deer Lake Outdoor Center Invites Connecticut Businesses to Support Energy and Safety Projects Through State NAA Tax Credit Program

Killingworth, CT — Pathfinders, Inc., nonprofit owner and operator of Deer Lake Outdoor Center, has been selected by the State of Connecticut to participate in the 2025 Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA) Program. As the only Killingworth nonprofit chosen this year, Pathfinders invites Connecticut businesses to support Deer Lake projects to improve safety on its 253-acre wilderness property and advance energy efficiency. Eligible contributions may qualify for up to a 100% state tax credit.

2025 NAA Projects at Deer Lake
- Deer Lake Safety Cruiser (60% Credit) – An all-terrain vehicle for rapid emergency access across the 253-acre, roadless property.
- Eco-Smart Heating & Insulation (100% Credit) – Energy upgrades to conserve energy, reduce costs, and enable year-round community access.
- Eligible Businesses: C-Corps, Insurance Companies, Utilities, Health Care Centers
- Minimum Donation: $250
- Application Window: September 15 – October 1, 2025
- Contributions must be cash donations made during 2025 income year (through 12/31/25)
- Donations of $500+ will be recognized at the All Things Killingworth Town Picnic on October 4, 2025, at Deer Lake.
