Chelsea Groton Bank Promotes Eight

GROTON, Conn. – Chelsea Groton Bank has promoted eight team members following a Board of Trustees meeting.

Alexander Masse of Niantic, CT, Executive Vice President, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Alex joined Chelsea Groton Bank in 1998 as a teller in the Niantic branch. He took on roles of increasing responsibility before serving as branch manager in Niantic, and then as the Vice President/Assistant Director of Retail Banking before helping to start the Bank’s Cash Management department. In recent years, Alex has taken on the responsibility of leading the Operations, Loan Servicing, Security, Digital Banking, Business Intelligence, and Technology departments.  
 
He is a graduate of the Stonier National School of Banking and the Connecticut School of Finance and Management. Alex was a recipient of the 2016 Chelsea Spirit award, the American Bankers Association Forty Under 40 award, and the Connecticut Bankers Association New Leaders in Banking award. Alex currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Southeastern Connecticut Water Authority and Chairperson of the Connecticut Bankers Association IT Committee. 
 
Jennifer Eastbourne of Gales Ferry, CT, has been promoted to First Vice President, Financial Services Team Manager. Jen joined the Financial Services department in 2013 and holds FINRA Series 7, 66, and Connecticut Insurance licenses, designating her as both a registered representative and an investment advisor representative through Osaic Institutions. Jen was honored with the 2025 Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce’s 50 Under Fifty award for leadership, innovation, and service. She is a 2016 graduate of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT Leadership Program and a 2016 recipient of the Chelsea Spirit award. Jen volunteers as a Girl Scout troop leader and serves as a Madonna Place ambassador, a member of the Ledyard Beautification Committee, and a trustee of the Ledyard Education Advancement Foundation (LEAF).

Elizabeth Owen of Norwich, CT, has been promoted to Vice President, Lead Senior Credit Analyst and Sageworks Administrator. Liz joined Chelsea Groton Bank in 2010 in the Human Resources department before transitioning to Loan Servicing. In 2014, she joined the Credit department where she assumed increasing levels of responsibility. Liz is a graduate of the Connecticut Bankers Association’s (CBA) Aspire Leadership Academy, recently completed her undergraduate degree, and is currently enrolled in the CBA’s Connecticut School of Finance and Management.   
 
Rebecca Wesolowski of North Franklin, CT, Lending Compliance and Secondary Operations Manager, has been promoted to Vice President. Rebecca began her career in 2017 within the Retail Banking team, and after a brief separation, rejoined Chelsea Groton in the Retail Lending department. Rebecca holds a Master of Science in Accounting from the New England Institute of Business at Cambridge College and in 2023, Rebecca participated in the CBA’s Aspire Leadership Academy. Rebecca is the chairman for the Groton Scholarship Fund, a committee that awards scholarships to Robert E. Fitch High School graduating seniors. She is also a member of the Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association (CMBA) Young Mortgage Professionals committee.   
 
Giusy Beaman of Griswold, CT, Branch Operations Manager, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President. Giusy joined Chelsea Groton in 1999 and has steadily advanced through roles that demonstrate increasing responsibility. Giusy is a 2010 graduate of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT Leadership Program, a 2015 graduate of the Chelsea Professional Management Series (CPMS), and a 2017 graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management.  In addition, Giusy received a 2012 Chelsea Spirit award. She is actively involved in Bank-sponsored committees and community events, regularly volunteering for the Penguin Plunge and the ARC picnic. She serves on The Otis Library ‘Evening with an Author’ committee, is the Sergeant at Arms for the Norwich Toastmasters club, and leads the Bank’s Norwich Area book club. 
 
Nicole Goodrow of Niantic, CT, Norwichtown Customer Solutions Manager, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President. Nicole’s career at Chelsea Groton began over 15 years ago as a teller in the Groton branch. She was promoted to roles of increasing responsibility before assuming the role of Customer Solutions Manager at the Waterford branch in 2022 and then transferring to the Norwichtown branch in 2024. Nicole completed the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce LEAD Program and in 2025, graduated from the Connecticut School of Finance and Management. She was also the proud recipient of the Chelsea Spirit award in 2021. 
 
Michele Magowan of Groton, CT, Retail Lending Sales Specialist, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President. Michele began her career at Chelsea Groton in 1988 as a teller and steadily advanced through a variety of positions in Retail Banking before transitioning to the Retail Lending department in 2000 as a residential loan representative. In 2013, her responsibilities expanded to include oversight of the Bank’s online loan application platform. Michele is a 2003 graduate of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Leadership Program.  
 
Cody DeBoer of Greene, RI, System Administrator II, has been promoted to Corporate Officer. Cody joined Chelsea Groton Bank in 2022. He graduated from the New England Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Networking Engineering in 2023.
