Schwarz Men’s Residence Administrative Assistant - Temporary
The Middlesex YMCA is seeking a qualified individual to assist with administrative tasks related to the operations of a 62 room (SRO) men’s residence. The Administrative Assistant supports the mission of the YMCA Housing program by providing essential support to ensure smooth day to day operations. This role involves administrative tasks, communication with residents and staff and maintaining organized records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner.

Salary: Part time. $25/hour. 15-20/week. Temporary 12 week position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following, other duties may be assigned:

· Collect rents and maintain records according to the proper procedures and funding requirements.
· Follow-up delinquent accounts and pursue collections in accordance with established procedures.
· Maintain tenant files and related documentation regarding continuing eligibility and adjustments.
· Arranges the interview, intake and review process of new tenants.
· Administers termination procedures when necessary.
· Monitor inventory and purchase supplies as needed.
· Manage phone calls, emails and correspondence for the housing program.
 
Qualifications:
 
· High school diploma or equivalent
· A minimum of one year of administrative experience.
· Computer skills, including Microsoft Office
· Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communications skills
· Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
