Reports To: Executive Director and Front Desk Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Position: Part Time Front Desk Receptionist and Security
Hours: 12:00 am to 8:00 am Per diem (On call) We are seeking a professional with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills from 12:00 am to 8:00 am per diem (on-call). Days (on call) will vary according to staff vacations and sick time.

Summary: Serves as the ‘first impression" for new visitors and phone callers and the welcoming face for existing residents; ensures that the facility runs smoothly and efficiently by performing administrative duties, handling paperwork and documentation, and responding to emergencies. The Executive Director may assign front desk staff at any time to the first shift, second shift, third shift or a combination of shifts as business needs demand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. The Executive Director may assign other duties.
Serves as receptionist answering incoming phone calls.
Manages basic resident service issues that arise.
Ensure that all visitors sign in, and contacts residents to verify that the visit is wanted.
Keeps the front desk area neat and always organized; sweeps floor; empties trash.
Sports and deliver office mail and notices to residents.
Manages the Dinner Log as per established protocol; follows up with residents who do not show up for dinner.
Posts daily lunch menu, activity sheets, notices, etc.
Records all maintenance requests in the Maintenance Log
Uses the Medical Log to make appointments for the in-house podiatrist, blood pressure checks and foot clinic services as needed.
Reads and contributes to the Daily Log on every shift; and documents all incidents, emergencies, accidents or unusual behavior by residents or staff members Knows the property's emergency 911 guidelines.
Responds to resident emergencies that come in on the Security Panel
Always Secures the Master Keys
Observe security cameras.
Maintains confidentiality regarding residents' information; does not permit anyone else to come behind the desk area; and does not allow private conversations about residents to take place in the lobby area.
Documents sales made in the general store during off hours.
Sets evening security alarm and locks down doors.
Performs evening straightening of piano lounge and activity room.
Checks Highlighter for scheduled movies and starts and ends the movie on time.
Assists the Executive Director as instructed with other business needs.

Bilingual a plus.
