Westbrook Division

The Department of Consumer Protection protects the public and ensures a fair marketplace for businesses and consumers in Connecticut. To do this, the department:
- Manages licenses, permits, and registrations across many regulated industries
- Enforces regulations in the industries we oversee without overburdening businesses that follow the law
- Monitors the marketplace to protect consumers from unfair business practices and unsafe products; and
- Investigates consumer complaints
Join us on Tuesday, June 24th, for our last division meeting of the 2024/2025 season to network with your fellow Chamber members and hear from Catherine Blinder, Chief of Education and Outreach for the DCP. Catherine will provide an overview of how the agency supports businesses and resolves disputes, share some of the common scams making the rounds, and explain how to protect yourself and your business from falling victim.

Our host is Vista Life Innovations. Vista Life offers programs and pathways to independence for young adults with neurological disabilities. The Chamber would like to thank the team at Vista Life Innovations for hosting the June meeting.
