Volunteerism Forum - Mdsx County People helping People
Volunteerism Forum - March On _ Middlesex County Are you searching for a way to give back to our community, but don’t know how? Would you like to volunteer for a community organization, but aren’t sure which one to choose? Come and find out more about the various groups that need volunteers in Middlesex County. Some of the groups that will be represented include St. Vincent de Paul Middletown, United Way of Middlesex County, and New Horizons Domestic Violence Services for Middlesex County, one of the many program services of the Community Health Center, Inc. Drop-in, no registration. We recognize the many groups who have been at work in CT for positive change, and offer a forum to bring together the newly activated members of our community desperate for ways to meet your organization and volunteer to help you! We have planned an afternoon where your organization will come and staff a table (or send materials for us to distribute) and talk informally with people who come by to learn what you do and ways that you use volunteers. We will also have a brief program at the beginning at which you can take 5 minutes to describe your work to the full group before we break up to go table by table. If you cant attend we would be pleased to offer your materials to our guests at the forum seeking opportunities to volunteer. For Middlesex County, the CT River Valley and the Shoreline we have scheduled April 1, 2017 at Russell Library in Middletown from 11:00 - 2:00 pm. The Hubbard Room is in the Main Library on Broad Street. When you arrive please feel free to park in any space on Broad Street or adjacent streets or the public lot across the street from the library.
