Stuart Hawkins: Planning for the Future of Your Loved One with Special Needs
In conjunction with Vista Life Innovations’ Benefits & Advocacy Program, Stuart Hawkins from Futures Planned will present on Planning for the Future of Your Loved One with Special Needs at Vista’s 107 Bradley Road, Madison campus from 6-7:30 pm on Thursday, January 16th.
Stuart Hawkins has been a financial adviser for 28 years, with a focus and passion for Special Needs Planning (SNP) since 2005. This workshop will cover the following important issues: • Special Needs Trusts • New ABLE Act • Protecting Government Benefit Eligibility • Guardianship and Conservatorship • SSI, SSDI • Financial Security and Funding Options • Letter of Intent
As a parent of a young adult with special challenges, Mr. Hawkins is uniquely qualified to discuss Special Needs Planning. His experiences enable him to offer in-depth knowledge and compassion to his SNP clients. He has presented his workshop to over 70 organizations throughout the state of CT. In his spare time, he is the Board Chair of PLAN of CT, a non-profit that acts as a trustee for Special Needs Trusts. He volunteers as a Special Olympics coach, and actively raises funds for pediatric brain tumor research.
Vista Life Innovations is proud to host Mr. Hawkins as part of its mission to support individuals with disabilities in achieving personal success.
On Thursday, February 13 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., Vista will collaborate with Mr. Hawkins for an additional workshop on Government Benefits for Your Loved One with Special Needs.
