Real Estate Council Lunch & Learn "Stress Reduction and Mental Health"
In support of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Chamber will be hosting a workshop focused on stress reduction and mental health, co- facilitated by Lakisha Hyatt MSN, RN CEO Connecticut Valley Hospital and Sarah Gadsby, LCSW CEO River Valley Services.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and, while promoting mental health is important all year, May is a month of raising awareness about mental illness, its prevalence in today's society, and its impacts on people of all ages and backgrounds.
Observed every year since 1949, Mental Health Awareness Month is dedicated to eradicating stigma, fostering public education and supporting the vital role mental health plays in our overall health and well-being.
Mental health workshops can be particularly effective in the workplace, as they can help reduce stigma and encourage open communication about mental health. Prioritizing mental wellness in the work environment can help employees develop skills and strategies to better manage stress, improve resilience, and enhance overall well-being.
