What is Most Important to You When It Comes to Health Care?
Play “Go Wish,” an interactive game that will help uncover your health care wishes.
Throughout your life you have hopes, dreams and wishes. Melanie Cama will help you identify your wants and needs and determine how you can make your health care wishes come true—even as you face challenges.
Melanie Cama has more than 20 years in comprehensive care delivery management in a wide variety of health care settings. She has worked at Middlesex Hospital since 2002. She started at the Hospital as a nurse for the Hospice and Palliative Care Program and went on to be the program’s director. This spring, the Hospital divided Hospice and Palliative Care into two programs, and Melanie is now leading Palliative Care Services.
Melanie is also adjunct faculty member at the Yale School of Nursing. Prior to arriving at Middlesex Hospital, Melanie was supervisor of clinical services for the Portland VNA, a preventative care clinic nurse based in Germany for the U.S. Department of Defense and a staff nurse for Columbia Medical Center East in Texas. Melanie earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Fairfield University and her master’s in nursing from the University of Phoenix.
