Understanding Local Pollinators: An Environmental Forum
The Rockfall Foundation and the Connecticut River Museum present a free environmental forum, "Understanding Local Pollinators," on Thursday, May 11 at 5:30 pm. Presenters include: Judy Preston, Sea Grant discussing riparian plantings and how to support pollinators Gale Reynolds, UCONN Extension, home gardening for pollinators Jeff Cordulack, CT NOFA, the impact of climate change on pollinators and the importance of pollinators for agriculture Jane Seymour, CT DEEP, discussing native pollinators in native habitats This program is free to the public, advance registration is encouraged. The event begins at 5:30 pm; refreshments will be served and a Meet Your Greens reception continues on the dock immediately following.
