About Us
We collect returnable bottles and cans, redeem them and use the funds to help local programs.
In fiscal 2021-2022, over 925 million returnable bottles and cans did not get returned. Residents and businesses don not return them for a variety of reason - machines are full, have to go to several stores to return them and my favorite ''it's only a nickel''. We set out to change people's minds and offer them an alternative. If they don't want to redeem them, give them to us and we will redeem them and donate the money to local charities. We donate close to $30,000 a year to local Food Banks / Soup Kitchens, Domestic Abuse Program, Children's Programs and Veteran Programs.
We are all volunteers. We have a group of retirees, Students from Middlesex Transition Academy (MTA), Students from Benhaven Academy & Social Learning Center and local businesses as well as local residents come in weekly and help us.
