Join our Active Older Adult Coordinator, Cindy Sullivan for a short, flat walk to a wooden platform on the edge of a vernal pool in the CFPA's Highlawn Forest.
From the safety of the platform we will learn about the importance of vernal pools in the environment. Frogs, toads and salamanders rely on the safety of vernal pools for laying their eggs.
See samples of the creatures in a vernal pool and learn about the vernal pool's unique features with the CFPA Education Director, Emma Kravet.
