This eight hour training course (split into two days) is designed to give people key skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Studies show that those who are trained in Mental Health First Aid have greater confidence in providing help to others, greater likelihood of advising people to seek professional help, improved concordance with health professionals about treatments, and decreased stigmatizing attitudes. CE/CEU: This program has been approved by Connecticut Certificate Board & National Association of Social Workers—CT Chapter for 7.5 units.
