The Inventors Workshop
Have an idea for an invention? Need help getting it off the group, getting a patent or monetizing it? Come join us for this Inventors Workshop to meet experienced inventors and hear how they went through the process.
Elizabeth Galletta, a Hartford-based intellectual property attorney, will provide an overview on steps you can take to identify and protect your intellectual property. She will touch on patents, copyrights and trade secrets as well as non-disclosure agreements and assignment agreements.
Eric is a business pioneer, futurist, serial inventor, serial entrepreneur, and angel investor. He is the President of Remarkable Technologies, Inc., a company he founded in 1994. www.RemarkableTechnologies.com
In the 1980s, Eric created what many now recognize as one of the world's first global "e-commerce" systems. In 1996, he created one of the world's first online travel agencies. During the 1990s, he was a principal of a leading Web-development company that had over 250 employees, spanning 18 offices in 13 countries.
Eric was one of the team leaders (Avionics Manager) who designed, built, and launched the world's first civilian rocket into space. This historic event occurred on May 17, 2004, and has still not been equaled. www.thenewracetospace.com
As an inventor, Eric has appeared on numerous television programs and talk shows -- including a guest appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. He has commercialized many products and services across a wide variety of industries.
Eric is an active angel investor and member of the Connecticut-based Angel Investor Forum "AIF". He helps fund new independent ventures across many business sectors, and is instrumental in bringing to life innovations arising through his own company.
As seen in the news recently, Eric is part of the team working to tackle Alzheimer's disease -- a horrific disease that takes the lives of millions of people, worldwide. Eric's patented invention (U.S. Patent 9,037,268, bit.ly/ALZpat) is a head-wearable device that emits electromagnetic waves for therapeutic use. NeuroEM Therapeutics has an exclusive license to Eric's / Remarkable Technologies' patented technology, as well as a variety of its own patented technologies. NeuroEM recently completed a Phase I clinical trial. The results were published in The Journal of Alzheimer's Disease. https://content.iospress.com/articles/journal-of-alzheimers-disease/jad190367
