Knowledge, Skills, and Position Summary: The Residential Aide is responsible for providing daily support and assistance for residents in a residential setting at the Eddy Shelter. This position is an overnight awake shift and is responsible for tracking and recording residents and house activities hourly. The Residential Aide will complete physical checks on facility grounds on a regular basis and enforce program rules and guidelines. This position is non-exempt and works under the supervision of program Management. The eligible candidate for this position would work per diem, varying hours, days, and shifts. Education: The minimum qualifications to be an eligible candidate for the Residential Aide position is a High school Diploma/GED and 2 years of related experience in the direct service and case management field. Valid Connecticut driver's license is required for all open positions at The Connection. Orientation: If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend New Hire Orientation on days 1-3.
