Position Summary:

This position assists the Director of Advertising and Creative Services and services off-site, Mohegan-owned or managed casino marketing departments and MTGA sub-brands (i.e. Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, Mohegan Sun Palmer, Mohegan Sun Concord, MTGA, MGA, MSCT, etc.). Grows positive brand visibility and develops relevant communications for such properties in order to increase revenues. This involves project management and coordination with various disciplines (i.e. Public Relations, Social Media and Internet Marketing), but primarily works, manages and executes in all facets of Advertising. Implements integrated communications strategy and tactics under the guidance of department Directors. Interacts with each satellite (or brand’s) property management and with all outside agency managers. Also provides additional on-site support to MSCT Advertising, Public Relations, Internet Marketing and Social Media, as needed.

 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

  • Manages the work flow of developing and executing all advertising media plans and media buys for the overall satellite casino brand and all its promotional, entertainment and retail activities
  • Uses project management for integration and synchronization of all of the property’s communications
  • Manages the production and creative development of all advertising for the off-site, satellite property brands and their promotional, entertainment and retail activities (i.e. tv, radio, newspaper, magazine, billboard, online, etc.)
  • Manages the satellite’s budget, billing reconciliation, estimates and approvals
  • Maintains brand standards for continuity in communications and public image

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uses consumer research and digital analytics to measure and improve effectiveness of satellite’s communication activities
  • Assists main enterprise in Connecticut with various projects (i.e. writing, project management, etc.)

  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Customer focused messaging development skills
  • Thorough understanding of the Mohegan Sun Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment

Training Requirements:

  • Must complete the Core Manager Training course
  • Understanding of Ascent and Empower Time
  • Knowledge of new media, digital media, search and social media

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Office work environment
  • Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced work environment with frequent interruptions
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
