Summary: The Graduate Medical Education Manager is responsible for the administration of day-to-day operations of the Family Medicine residency program ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education and American Board of Family Medicine. The Graduate Medical Education Manager acts as the central coordinator between faculty, attending physicians, residents, medical students, the residency program clinical practice, other institutional departments, and regulatory authorities.
Responsibilities:
? Create and update faculty, resident and nurse practitioner schedules
? Coordinate resident and faculty on call schedules with Chief Residents
? Resident and Faculty recruitment
? Credentialing of residents at participating institutions
? Resident and Faculty evaluation
? Update and ensure accuracy of national electronic databases
? ACGME Accreditation
? Administrative documentation
? Budgetary management
? Staff supervision
? New Resident Orientation, Graduation and other residency program activities
? Work collaboratively with Nurse Practice Managers in areas of educational and clinical intersection
? Maintain Notary Public standing and provide notary services to the department
? Ensure resident and faculty compliance with institutional training requirements
? Regulatory compliance
? Development, revision, and implementation of administrative policies and procedures
? Collaboration with health system management community
