DESCRIPTION:Oddfellows Playhouse Junior Repertory Company stages one of the greatest comedies of all time\, The Servant of Two Masters. The play\, written in 1742\, is the comic and the pinnacle of traditional Commedia dell'Arte\, the comic form which dominated Europe from 1550 to the mid-1700s's and is the basis for most of modern western comedy.\n\n\n\nFeaturing cross-dressing\, mistaken identity\, swordplay\, mischievous servants\, passionate young lovers\, and clueless parents\, The Servant of Two Masters is brought to rambunctious life by the cast of young actors ages 12-14\, who make up the Junior Repertory Company.\n\n\n\nDirected by Playhouse Artistic Director Dic Wheeler\, the play features set and lighting design by Jon-Paul LaRocco\, live musical accompaniment by Myke Halpin\, costume design by Christian Milik\, and properties design by Pam Lang.\n\n\n\nOddfellows is a non-profit youth theater which has been offering unique\, high quality performing arts experiences to Connecticut young people since 1975.
