Our annual Starlight Benefit spring fundraiser and social event beams up on April 29 at Water's Edge Resort and Spa in Westbrook. To celebrate the return of this spirited evening as an in-person event\, this year's theme is Vista Showdown: Your Galaxy Awaits. \n\n\n\nThis is the way: collect your family and friends for an out-of-this world evening of cocktails and dinner\, live and silent auctions\, and live entertainment. Show off your inner geek\, whether the force is with you\, or you live long and prosper.\n\n\n\nVista is proud to announce this year's honoree: Lauren Thierry\, a star in the media autism advocacy world. Ms. Thierry is the founder of Independence Day/ID\, a GPS tech and fashion convergence designed to address a myriad of safety and dressing issues for the special needs population. A TV news anchor for more than a decade\; she left her anchor job at CNN Financial to care for her autistic son\, Liam. Ms. Thierry was cited by Connecticut Magazine as "one the state's most stand up citizens" in the magazine's "Standing Up for Connecticut" issue.\n\n \n\nThe Starlight Benefit's net proceeds support the many programs and services offered by Vista Life Innovations\, Inc. a non-profit organization based along the Connecticut shoreline that provides services and resources to assist individuals with disabilities to achieve personal success.\n\nTickets and event sponsorship opportunities are available at www.vistalifeinnovations.org/starlight.
