SUMMARY:Middlesex County Revitalization Commission (MCRC)
DESCRIPTION:Created by a special act of the CT General Assembly in 1993\, the members of the Middlesex County Revitalization Commission (MCRC) are the chief elected official\, or designee\, in each of the fifteen towns in Middlesex County\, plus a representative from the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce and is a key economic development tool in Middlesex County.\n\n \n\nIn addition to being a valued regional lender under Connecticut?s Small Business Express Program (EXP) providing loans and grants to Middlesex County?s small businesses through the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD)\, in 2022 MCRC\, along with nine other nonprofit economic development organizations in the state\, was funded to provide grants to small businesses. This five-year grant program will provide vital economic recovery funds to spur job creation and growth across the county\, with the first round of grants to be distributed in late summer 2023.
