DESCRIPTION:Local Health Agency Hosts "Meet and Greet a Police Officer: A Special Needs Event"\n\n\n\nTo Build Relationships Between Families and Law Enforcement and Promote A Safe and Inclusive Environment for Families Impacted by Autism and Other Disabilities\n\n\nCollaborative ABA Services\, LLC a Middletown based behavioral health practice is teaming up with the Middletown Police Department this Saturday\, October 15\, 2022. The Meet & Greet event will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in front of the center located at 770 Saybrook Road Unit B4\, Middletown\, CT located on the top of the hill. Access is behind the building with ample parking.\n\n\n\nThis is a free family event that will allow families to interact with members of the Middletown Police Department and learn more about safety skills and build trust and relationships that are so important to a thriving community. In addition to meeting a Police Officer\, there will be refreshments\, and additional activities including face painting and balloon twisting. Advanced registration is required and can be made by registering online at www.collaborativeabaservices.com/special-events\n\n\n\nMrs. Simpson-Watt\, the Executive Clinical Director and Founder of Collaborative ABA Services is looking forward to welcoming the community to this fun family event. She said\, "It is an honor to be partnering with Officer Jason Bodell and his team at the Middletown Police Department. This effort highlights their exceptional service and provide the opportunity for children\, families and caregivers to meet a police officer and learn more about their role in the community. For any child\, it is important to create a sense of safety in the home and community. Developing those relationships at a young age\, is critical to promoting safety and community focused caring adults. We look forward to welcoming the community at our center. We are very happy to be here.
