SUMMARY:Business & Education Partnership Advisory Council
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join\n\nMIDDLESEX COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE'S\n\n\n\nBusiness & Education Partnership Advisory Council at\n\nMIDDLESEX COMMUNITY COLLEGE\n\nThe Pavilion at Founders Hall\, 100 Training Hill Road\, Middletown\n\n\n\nBreakfast with\n\nDr. Anna Wasescha\, President\, Middlesex Community College\n\nWednesday\, October 12\, 2016 7.30 9.00 A.M.\n\n\n\nAdvance Registration Required\n \n\nPROGRAM\n\nTAP AND TECH\n\nAs the cost of college continues to rise\, more and more people are enrolling in community colleges. These affordable and accessible institutions offer programs of undergraduate study that transfer to many baccalaureate institutions. In Connecticut\, the community colleges have created pathways with the state universities. Students who follow these curricular paths are admitted as juniors at the four-year institutions and all their credits are accepted for transfer. This is called the Transfer Articulation Program (TAP).\n\n \n\nTECH is another dimension of the academic program at Middlesex Community College offering certificates and two year degrees in occupational fields that qualify graduates for immediate employment in select fields. From Certified Nurse Assistant to Radiological Technology\, from Veterinary Technology to Manufacturing\, these technical programs train students for direct entry into the workforce.\n\n \n\nDr. Anna Wasescha will lead a discussion on the pathways available at Middlesex.
