DESCRIPTION:The Dance Corner Brings Connecticut Dancers Together for a Benefit Concert\n\n \n\nKillingworth\, CT   The Dance Corner presents the 5th annual Dancing From the Heart\, a concert to benefit Child Life at Yale New Haven Children's hospital at 2:30pm on Saturday\, October 22\, 2022 at the Clinton Town Hall Auditorium\, 54 East Main St\, Clinton. \n\n \n\nThe show will feature performances from Connecticut dance companies including\, Ballet Hartford\, River Valley Dance Project\, and Moxie Dance.  Students from The Dance Corner will also perform.  All proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Child Life Department at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital.  \n\n \n\nChild Life at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital helps children cope with the adjustments of being in a hospital by providing a variety of play experiences. These activities help both children and families gain a greater understanding of medical procedures\, which helps reduce stress and fear of the unknown. Money raised by this concert will directly benefit pediatric patients at Yale.\n\n \n\nCarrie Smith\, director of The Dance Corner said\, "It has been a long-time dream of mine to bring professional and student dancers from our community together for a performance to benefit those in need.  Part of our mission at The Dance Corner is to promote dance in our community and to give back. This event does both. Since 2017 this event has raised more than $8000 for the Child Life Fund.  We hope to hit $10\,000 this year."\n\n \n\nTickets to the Dancing From the Heart show are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased in advance at The Dance Corner\, 206 Route 80\, Killingworth or at the door. The program should run around 1 hour.\n\n \n\nThe Dance Corner is dedicated to providing its students with a well-rounded education in all facets of dance and tumbling. Classes are designed to increase confidence\, build self-esteem and develop coordination in an interactive\, group environment. With instruction for all ages and levels of experience. Fall class registration is open\, and free trial classes are available for prospective students.
