Job Description


To coordinate SARAH Inc.’s overall strategy and activities to promote community connections for people served  


Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in related field required. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in promoting awareness and developing services for people with differing abilities. Minimum of two (2) years supervisory/management experience. Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership, forge community partnerships and build positive coalitions. Creative problem solving and strong communications skills necessary. Must be over 21 and possess a valid Connecticut driver’s license, have an acceptable driving history and be able to utilize your own vehicle for SARAH business as defined by SARAH, Inc.’s policy.


HOURS OF DUTY: Exempt. Flexible Schedule – may include nights and weekends  


·         Work closely with colleagues and community partners to assess, develop and implement innovative programs to address the spectrum of service needs in program services

·         Coordinate curriculum development for life-skills, work training, adult education and other programs

·         In conjunction with the management team, foster the development of employment opportunities for individuals served

·         Oversee the quality of program services by ensuring the needs and goals of individuals served are met and the necessary services and supports are provided

·         Design program development systems that ensure quality services and enhance program quality. Assist in coordinating other quality assurance systems, including abuse/neglect investigations and quality system reviews

·         Actively participate in activities that promote community awareness, including public speaking and representing the agency in organizations and organizational committees as assigned
