Product Planner

Job Description
Objectives:
  • Responsible for the research and planning of new products. The Product Planner will define the product strategy and develop a roadmap by researching competitors’ products and industry trends and direction, control the product development project, prepare product launch and monitor the success on the market.
Essential Functions:
  •  Acquire expert knowledge of competitors, markets and market trends and define product performance metrics for measurement, comparison and evaluation
  •  Create proposals for new products with detailed justifications and a business plans
  •  Meet with customers and Sales to acquire information regarding customers future needs and expectations
  •  Develop and maintain long-term product roadmaps based on customer needs and market trends
  •  Communicate new product technical requirements to Research and Development Engineering
  •  Collaborate with customers and the cross-functional product development team to validate and update new product ideas and concepts through all product development stages.
  •  Collaborate with Marketing and Sales during product launches and monitor market reaction.
  •  Present newly-developed products to Sales and Management and conduct product trainings.
  •  Closely collaborate with other company functions including Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Production, and Quality Control
Required Education:
  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Industrial Design or Business Administration with technical background
Required Work Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in the building industry or related
  •  Experience in Product Marketing or Product Management
Required Competencies:
  • Organizational skills
  •  Able to manage multiple tasks at a time
  •  Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  •  Advanced knowledge in project Management
  •  Strong methodological skills to identify customer requirements and develop innovative solutions (e.g. Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Design, Design Thinking, Outcome-Driven-Innovation)
