Job Description

Companion Care


Companion care services are provided to help the client maintain a comfortable and supportive environment when the client is unable to do so alone.

Duties may include: assisting with phone calls and correspondence, providing recreational activities and friendly conversation, assisting with errands, assisting with medication reminders, providing transportation for shopping and doctor’s appointments, and very light housekeeping.

Homemaker Care

Homemaker care services are provided to assist the client with maintaining the household.

Duties may include everything provided under Companion Care plus: meal preparation and planning, shopping, assistance with errands, laundry, vacuuming, dusting, changing linens, washing dishes, and washing floors.

Personal Care

Personal Care services are provided for clients who need significant assistance with managing the household and with personal hygiene needs.

Duties may include everything provided under Companion Care and Homemaker Care, as well as: bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting activities.

Alzheimer’s Companion Care

Alzheimer’s Companion Care offers the client with Alzheimer’s disease or age-related dementia sensitive and appropriate supervision from specially-trained caregivers. Training is available for those caregivers who are interested in providing this special service.

Live-In Companion Care

Our Live-In Care service is our most comprehensive service, and provides a personalized mix of companion, homemaker and personal care services as needed by a caregiver who lives in the client's home.

Duties may include: providing a comfortable, stable environment, assist with phone calls and correspondence, assist with errands, shopping and doctor’s visits, meal preparation and consumption, dressing, personal hygiene, laundry, assisting with medication reminders, and simple household chores.
